Kathrynjo...
How funny you should ask about a Asain or Indian donor ...A co-worker of mine had pulled an article out of a magazine..I beleive it was Glamour...and left it for me to read. The artiscle is about IVF..overseas..etc. It also spoke about donor eggs..well..according to this article there is a clinic..based in NY..and Zurich..who mainly deal with donors from..eastern Europe...Asia..and India! . It's called ELITE IVF....They work with these girls..bc it brings down the costs compared to girls in the States.
So I would do a search...or tell your IP's.. I don't know where you and your Ip's are located..but I would look into it..it can't hurt!

I would be surrised if there is such an agency in Switzerland, because as far as I know, egg donation is not legal in Switzerland. Swiss eolehave to go abroad to do it

Someone was telling me about Elite IVF which was an agency/clinic based in Mexico. Is this the same thing, or are they different?

They recruit donors from all over and have IVF clinics also around the world...Mexica etc. My experience with them was not so great...a month between emails (yikes) but they didn't do anything wrong. We ended up not using them

I actually met with them a couple of months ago and they seem O.K. They have office in Europe, USA and Canada.
The only thing was, they wanted to set me to Cyprus for the procedure. They claim, they have clinics that like resorts. \"We want this to be a stress free experience\", is wht they claimed.
After consulting with my doctor, he aslo confirmed, they were OK, but was uncomfortable with me traveling to an unknown clinic 5000 miles away. :?: :?:

My husband and I have just been through a cycle with Elite IVF - unfortunatly, we did not get pregnant. We travelled to Mexico City for the procedure and I have to say, despite not having a positive outcome, that the experience went quite well. Elite did make sure that it was a stress-free experience for us. However, I would not recommend travelling ANYWHERE for this kind of treatment... unless you have at least 3 days to recover post treatment. In retrospect, walking around airport terminals the day after such a significant treatment is just plain irresponsible... If anyone out there has used Elite IVF please, please let me know what your experience was like.

Hi! We're thinking about them as well.

Mexican option looks good given $ but have a concerns incl. the travel. Can you stay longer? Is it expensive to add extra time?

Put off by long delays getting back to me with email but also the fact that they don't really have an office here in Toronto.

Has anyone who has dealt with them in Switzerland or US have any info to share? Any success stories????

hi there,

We did stay in Mexico longer than anticipated. They had retrieved a number of good eggs from our donor so they decided to do a 5 day blastocyst transfer. We landed there on a thursday with a scheduled departure the following tuesday but because we decided to wait it out for the blastocyst transfer we did not leave until the friday. Elite was very accomodating and looked after all the hotel details ect. One advantage to using them is that they assign you a patient co-ordinator who helps you to get to and from appointments (arranges transportation) and helps you with whatever questions you may have.

Since our experience in mexico, we have also considered a few clinics in the US. I dont know why Canadian clinics do not recommend US clinics more often.. anyway, i would recommend that you check out the following site and do an analysis of clinic success rates ect... Clinics in the states actually advertise their success rates and those rates are good indicators as far as legitimacy and endoconologic experience goes. Have a look at:
http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/ART2005/clinics05.asp

this is published by the US center for disease control and prevention - it details all clinics by state.

one thing im finding with the US clinics is that the wait time for a donor is quite long (6 - 9months!) and you are considered for the clinic's donor program only after you go through all of their required testing... yes, more tests!! anyway, we're still considering our options as we do have frozen embryos in mexico...

Chimes in... :o
I had my son through the Elite IVF Mexico clinic. I’m not an authority on what IVF costs in the states, but as far as I can tell, I ended up saving more than 10,000.

Frenchie, Did you give IVF another try? Or did you give up after Mexico?

Keep trying. We don’t always become moms after our first try, especially at my age. Good luck all.
