I recently called Cooper to see if they could contact my donor..used in 2004(#1070)..my reasons were just to see if she could give me a few more details of her childhood & possibly some pic's..nothings' wrong with the twins, just wanted to have info. for them later & me now.(like when teeth came in, hair came in, food liked as child etc..) I have the Cooper description & one picture(as 22 yr old.) Cooper called back saying her phone was disconnected..So..that's it! I know she was 22 yrs old blonde/blue eyes 122lbs & a student..and she tested positive as a carrier for CF..& as far as I know isn't on the list anymore.. maybe just did this one donation. I know students move alot.. but this sucks.. seems like they'd have an email address or something..emergency contact?.. but requests like this are not high on the list of things to do- so I'm sure they wouldn't go the extra mile to relocate her.. my husband says-what if we wanted to cycle again with her? not possible anymore? Here's another couple of things that suck.. even if I register . with the donor sibling site or donor offspring site.. our donors at Cooper aren't told their donor numbers or that the recip.'s had children.. so their left in the dark with no means of ever knowing?..Wow.. I understand there must be a few that could care less & don't want to know.. but maybe later in life they might want to know..or for medical reasons need to know. Does anyone have any idea's? I'd love to find a site where I could show her picture/description/donor number etc.. and hope that donors or past donors frequent or check that site. but so far I haven't found anything close. This really blows. Almost like she never really existed..except that the girls look so much like her picture. need sincere ideas guys.. thanks Fawn
