Donor wanted, ideally from Alberta, Canada

Postby Madeleine8002 » Fri Nov 30, 2007 4:45 pm

My husband and I live in Alberta, Canada and we are using an infertility clinic in the U.S. We are looking for a donor who we hope already has children of her own and who preferably lives in Alberta, too.

We are looking for someone who is willing to meet with us before the donation and also with any child we might have through the donation, presumably when the child becomes an adult.

We look at this as similar to an open adoption in some ways. My husband and I will not likely require a lot of contact with the donor, but sometimes children want to meet the person they are biologically related to. I don't want to deprive a child of that if he or she feels strongly about it.

We are looking for a donor who is enthusiastic about creating this little life and possibly meeting him or her some day.

This is one of the reasons that we thought it might be better to have a donor that lives closer to us rather than far away.

If you think you might be that person, please email me at madeleine8002@yahoo.ca.

Hi there,
Are you still looking for a donor? My background is English/Irish/Scottish/Hungarian
I am 22 years old, college student, first time donor, never been pregnant, 5'2\" 100lbs, long brown hair, green eyes, medium skin tone with easy ability to tan in the sun. Hourglass figure, small waist, small hands and feet (size 6), and wear a size 0/2. Bra size 32D. No major diseases in family except heart disease very late in life. Depression is quite common but very easly managed in my family. I smoke but will quit as soon as I find IPs. I am on an antidepressant which I will quit at the same time to ensure the healthiest possible egg.
I am not . active now, no boyfriend or husband and plan on staying that way until after I have donated my first egg(s).
I am going to become a surrogate after I have had my first child, therefore am only doing egg donation at this time. My family completely supports me - they know it is in my nature. Passionate about helping people in any way, currently on the living unrelated bone marrow registry, donating all organs and tissues when I pass, and completely fine with giving away my eggs to those who need them. I am willing to have no contact with the family and child besides wanting to know if the transfer worked, or as much contact as the IPs want. It is their child, their decisions and I will respect everything. If anything ever happened to the child and they need a blood transfusion or an organ transplant or more complete medical history, I will provide everything to the IPs anonymously within a second. I am always willing to do multiple cycles with the same IPs if they want more than one child and have them genetically related, I will do that without a second thought. I want to help bring the gift of life - I have a long time before I need to get pregnant and want to make a difference in someone's life in the meantime, doing anything I can.

Please let me know either way

Jenn
