Loving Donation was great at the beginning. The New Client Coordinator was responsive and quick in responding my email. The President was also very professional and informative. I thought I found a great agency to work with!
However after the cycle started, the communication with LD staff went below my expectations. It took them a while to respond to my email, sometimes over a week. They even disappeared for over 2 weeks on several occasions without updating me on the donor's status and her well being. Since it was an anonymous donation, all I wanted from Loving Donation was to inform me about my donor once a week, but they never fulfilled my request.
After the retrieval, Loving Donation contacted me once to let me know that the donor was fine and enjoyed her stay here (in my city) and never contacted me again. I initiated the contact with them 4 weeks after the ET to find out what was going on with my left over fund just to find out that they had not finished putting all the travel expenses in their systems and they would need more time to put things together.
One thing that Loving Donation should have been more clear was that their FED-EX charges. They never let me know or stated anywhere on their website that they would charge me for FED-EX, their preferred mail delivery provider. It was a surprise to see FED-EX charges showed up on our expense report. I assumed that all the mailing charges were included in the agency fee.
There are some good points about Loving Donation. First, the agency fee, lawyer, and the donor compensation are reasonable. Second, they have a lot of donors. Finally, they provide donors' detailed information on their website.
