I want to start by saying that we were successful on our first try with donor eggs and we were thrilled with our donor, who followed the doctor's instructions exactly and was very reliable and easy to work with. However, working with Dawn (the agency owner) was a very unpleasant experience for us. I found her to be extremely cold, very concerned about money, and not at all empathetic. She nickled and dimed us at every opportunity, which I found almost pathetically amusing, given the very large fees we were paying. On one hand, I do think she has an excellent donor pool and she does respond to voicemail and email in a timely manner, but on the other hand, if you are feeling emotionally vulnerable and depressed about your situation, you might want to carefully consider whether you want to subject yourself to dealing with Dawn.
