I've had a number of question come into my inbox and thought maybe it would be best to clarify what I mean by \"open donations\".

What and how you tell your child about their biology is your personal decision, and I will respect those decisions. I'm not needing contact afterwards, though that might be nice, nor will your personal information be disclosed with anyone.

What I mean by Open Donation is that I will keep you updated on my contact information should it change so that you may contact me at any time with questions, medical or otherwise, and am looking for someone who is willing to do the same.

My main concern is the protection of the children, and since I donate in the GTA area, I don't want to accidently have any children \"intermingle\". Also if any of the children have any questions or you have any questions later in life, the anwsers are available.

To protect the children I ask for minmial information such as first and last name of the child, date of birth and city of birth. Each parent through my dontation will be notified of new children being born and given the date of birth, and . of the child. This way everyone knows how many children of the same genetic makeup are out there, as well as very basic information. As each child grows and begins dating, if their dating partner matches the date of birth and city, you can then contact me to inquire about the name of the person and I can let you know if it is a concern.

Accidental family relastionships is a number one concern of doing same area donation and I have promised all my IPs that I will take appropriate steps to alleviate this concern. When I donate, I donate for life, and that means I am willing to make a lifelong commitment with all my IPs that I will be available to help in such circumstances.
