I have lots of experience with cycling in Boston. I used Tiny Treasures some years ago and at that time it was a one-woman operation - a former donor who started an agency. I did have problems with them. They were very donor biased and I even got stuck paying extra for travel and a number of other smaller things. Also communication was a problem and my RE had to ask the agency to butt out of the process. With all that being said, they now have a another woman who deals with the recipients and I don't think you will encounter the same problems that I had. I was fortunate and had a DD after my cycle with them. Although I went through 3 donors before we found one that my RE would work with...one was even proven at a different clinic but my RE would not use her.
Bob Nichols has the best reputation in the area and while they are a little more expensive you won't have as many problems. If I were going to use another agency I would use Bob Nichols...he did my contract and was very professional.
If I could offer you some advice I would say start the process now. I've completed 5 cycles, three fresh and two FET's, I have one DD and am expecting twins in a few weeks and I can tell you I am at the end of my DE journey but I've learned a lot. It will take you 6 months to get it all together. 3 or 4 months if you are lucky, but I know that BWH and RSC are kinda slow so 6 months from beginning to end is about par. You may have to do a mock cycle which lasts about 40 days, and your donor may have cycles lined up and you may have to wait on her. ALso if you chose an unproven donor she will have to go through a lot of testing and it all takes time. I started my first cycle in November and had the Embryo transfer in April...I took a long time to work it all out. So if you want to cycle in 6 months start now...if you want to cycle in a year, start in 6 months.
Best of Luck!
Melanie
