Looking for donor - Med/Grad student

Postby JustAddBaby » Mon Oct 03, 2011 12:28 pm

Thank you for taking the time to read our ad. We are a loving couple who has been trying for 2 years to have a baby on our own. Our doctor has suggested that we move on to donor eggs. It is very important to me that I find a donor who has a similar background. I am a pediatric surgeon. We are open to most ethnic backgrounds but ideally we want a donor who is either in/graduated med school or has a Masters degree in medical/science field. Eye color and hair color do not matter to us, just a donor with strong academics. If you are what we are looking for, please email us.

Good evening, my name is Brittany and in case you have not selected that perfect donor yet I wanted to send you some information about myself. I am approximately 5'5'' tall and weigh 135-140lbs. I have dark brown hair and tan well in the summer, rarely burn, but am a bit paler in the winter months when I am not outside as much. I have brown/hazel eyes. I am currently a third year medical student on clinical rotations who is looking to become an OB/GYN or some type of GYN surgeon.

As far as my personal medical history I have no personal history of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, asthma, strokes or anything like that. I have had a pretty healthy life other than the occasional colds throughout the years. I do not suffer from any allergies other than to penicillin with which I get a rash. I do my absolute best to take care of my body by going to the gym and eating healthy. If I can avoid fast foods I do. I love to cook so I usually cook fresh foods and use fresh ingredients from farmers markets and such. I do not smoke and never have. I have never used any illicit drugs. I do drink occasionally. What I mean by this is I like to have a glass of wine or a cocktail with dinner. I do not however consume any alcohol prior to or during the egg donation process. I do not really know if it has that much effect on anything from a medical standpoint but it makes me feel more comfortable. I take a daily multivitamin as well.

My family history is contributory for my mother having gestational diabetes during her third pregnancy and a hysterectomy soon after due to desired sterility. My father's medical history is about as boring as mine in the fact that he has no real medical problems other than the occasional stomach virus or cold. My maternal grandmother did have breast cancer however both my mother and aunt have had genetic testing which was negative for the breast cancer mutationn. My great grandmother on my mother's side did have type two diabetes. The great thing is most of my family doesn't really have any significant medical problems as I am still blessed to have several great grandparents and the ones who have passed away recently passed this year of age related issues.

I have donated eggs twice in the past at two different facilities in Tennessee. I know the procedure was successful on my end but due to privacy rules and regulations I was not told the outcome of any of the transfers. I know that approximately 14 eggs were retrieved the first time and approximately 16-18 were retrieved the second go round. The doctor told me all looked healthy and viable. I had both medical and psychiatric screening at both facilities and both claimed as they put it that I was, "a perfect candidate for the procedure".

Like I mentioned previously, I am in my third year of medical school with the goal of becoming an OB/GYN physician. I spend a lot of my time studying and reading medical textbooks currently but in my spare time I love to cook. I love experimenting with foods and hosting dinner parties for family and friends. I actually started cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for my entire family back in high school because I loved to cook so much. I also love to travel and meet new folks as much as possible. I have a very outgoing personality and love to interact with people.

I would love to send you a few photographs as well as my educational CV for your review.Again, this is just a brief overview for you to start with. I would be happy to discuss any questions you have via email or telephone.

I hope that I am not too late to help you build your family. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Brittany
