WATCH OUT!!!!! Please please please to all of you intended parents do not use loving donation owned by Deana DeGroot. After what happened to my wife and I thought she just made a mistake but after finding dozens of people on the internet who had similar dealings with her I realize now she is a criminal. We chose a beautiful young lady from her agency sight and paid the 18,000 in total including a 5,000 agency fee. The girl flied to IVF Florida and was screened BY our doctor. She ansered yes to having ever lived outside of the United States as she was born in Portugal. There is a . law which prohibits this because of MAD COW DISEASE. She said at the time one of her staff missed that question in the prescreen and was fired and promised us a 100% refund. She wound up keeping $8,000 and said her agency fee and travel fees were non refundable. My doctor informed us this donor should have NEVER been on the website. I AM ASKING ANYONE WHO HAS HAD A SIMILAR DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY TO PLEASE EMAIL ME AT ML22675@AOL.COM. This company preys on the fact that is too expensive for you to retain counsel and keeps as much as they can and gives you nothing but an empty promise in return. I have the money to sue her and plan on seeing it through to the end. Loving Donation shows a clear pattern of scamming people out of their money and dream. ANYONE CONSIDERING GIVING HER MONEY FOR AN EGG DONOR, FIND A CHARITY AND GIVE IT TO THEM AT LEAST IT WILL BE PUT TO GOOD USE AND ITS TAX DEDUCTIBLE. THIS COMPANY WILL JUST SCAM YOU OUT OF IT. ANYONE ON THESE POSTS THAT SAYS SHE S WONDERFUL MUST BE ONE OF HER EMPLOYEES AS THERE IS NO ONE IVE SPOKEN WITH PERSONALLY WHO HAS 1 GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT HER. EMAIL ME PLEASE FOR A POSSIBLE CLASS ACTION SUIT.

I don't know anything about that company but I have had a similar situation happen to me regarding the same issue with mad cow disease. It's an . rule but agencies are not the ones that do the . questionnaire, the clinics do. We had a donor who had lived in Germany for several years in the early 90's because her dad was military. The donor had donated previously with no problem but the clinic we are using was very strict. Our only option was to make it a "known" donation which is what we did. We then knew her name but it wasn't a big deal to us because even the doctors laugh off the idea of mad cow disease. It's just one of the random ridiculous rules that the . has. Unfortunately for other reasons the cycle wound up not working out so we are looking for a donor again but I wouldn't be so quick to blame the agency for this. I think they should definitely refund at least a partial amount of the agency fee if they don't have any other donors you want to work with but most of the . questions/answers are not discovered until the donor actually goes to the clinic and even then, it's up to the clinic whether or not they care.
Sorry this happened to you! This process is so expensive and stressful for all of us and I wish your agency would be more fair.

Loving Donation has a 16 page questionnaire that potential donors fill out. The owner was embarassed and apologized for the oversight with my potential donor and promised us a full refund due to her employees oversigght. Deana DeGroot swore that they ask this question of all potential donors and just made a mistake. We entered into a contract for a specific donor and were then told when we paid she wasnt available. After speaking with the . with regard to their guidelines the . effectively said that ALL doctors are forced to follow strictly the . guidelines and that random audits are performed to make certain all doctores adhere to their guidelines. I cant imagine that if my donor does a "known" donation that ANY doctor would be willing to perform the procedure and go against the . laws.

These are common risk factor questions usually asked by the clinic. An Angel's gift sends the basic . risk questionnaire alongside the in-depth donor application to the clinic for intial review to avoid this problem, especially prior to flying a donor out to the clinic. I am surprised that the agency would collect agency fees and donor compensation prior to clinic approval. An Angel’s Gift, Inc., doesn’t ask for agency fees until the donor has been pre-approved by the clinic. Also, I would never work with intended parents who didn't have their own legal counsel. I wish this agency would have been more fair in returning agency fees to you, but I know there are always two sides to every story. I wish you the best of luck.
