MisrepresentsMy email was answered by someone I thought was a donor. She emailed me photos of herself and then told me that she wished to go through Miracles Inc because they had helped her feel comfortable with the process. I couldn't understand why she approached me directly if she was using an agency...well I figured it out. While surfing classified ads on Surrogates, I saw Miracles Inc posting an ad for a couple. The posting was done by a person with the same name (Currie) as the email address that the \"donor\" emailed me from...I believe this agency is represented itself as a donor in response to my posting and this concerns me. Why not come out and respond as an agency that has a donor that fits my criteria? Why the bait and switch? I would never consider your agency based on this misrepresentation. How could I ever be assured that I was getting the donor that I was asking for? Honesty and integrity are crucial in this relationship. Anyone considering this agency needs to proceed with caution.
I am stunned that this agency charges you FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS if you want to view their donor profiles beyond a tiny picture (which in many cases, are just too small) and a very surface bio.
I would consider possibly paying $50 if I really wanted to have access, but even that turns me off. All of the other agencies I have been researching seem to have the interests of the recipients in mind with free access to their donors, and I think it's really short-sighted of Miracles to appear to gouge the intended parents right up front. I imagine they must lose out competitively to other agencies with this approach, and that their long-term reputation (which is precious equity) may suffer from the bad taste this likely leaves for many intended parents. All of us in the infertility world know how broke we all are; I find it a big red flag that the agency needs to make its money in this way. Has anyone here used them? Would you use them again? Thanks!
Donor protectionMiracles Website was designed to keep \"prying eyes\" out. We try to keep our donors safe. By having this tends to prevent people from going in and looking at our donor profiles. Unfortunately, there are way too many crazy people on the internet trying to look at beautiful young women.
Unfortunately, we understand that having this on our site might hinder people from coming to our agency. However, if the client calls or emails us, there is NO CHARGE and they are given the information needed to view our donor data base. If you should have any questions or need any assistance please feel free to call or email us at anytime. Wishing you all the best. Allison Jarvie Miracles Egg Donation and Surrogacy Inc.
Re: Misrepresents-BEWARE
My search has continued and I have found that (Currie) has started her own agency Peas in a Pod Inc "PPI". Buyer beware.
Re: MisrepresentsThese comments seem unwarranted and unfounded. We used Miracles services and now have a beautiful family thanks to Allison and her team of experts. Our children are now almost 2 years old and I am thankful for the services Allison provided on a daily basis. Every time I look in my childrens’ eyes I am grateful to God for the miracle that Allison helped make happen. My experience with her and the agency was perfect. So was the experience of everyone else involved with the agency – including doctors, nurses, egg donors, medical assistants and surrogates. So, I’m not sure who is writing some of these horrible things, but it seems as though they need to be checked out before judgements are made. A disgruntled person should not be making such claims in such a public forum.
I am forever grateful for what this woman has done, not only for me and my family, but for the scores of other people she has helped as well. Best Regards
Re: MisrepresentsMiracles Egg Donation Has Closed Its Doors
By Andrew Vorzimer ⋅ August 29, 2011 ⋅ Email This Post ⋅ Post a comment Filed Under Allison Layton, miracles, miracles egg donation, Miracles Surrogacy We have received an email confirmation that Miracles Egg Donation, Inc. has shut down. This is not surprising given the increasing number of victims who have come forward alleging misappropriation of trust funds and the failure to pay surrogates and egg donors. If you are working with Miracles in any capacity, I would strongly encourage you to contact your attorney immediately to determine your rights and what remedies may exist. A number of the victims have already filed reports with the FBI and local law enforcement and your attorney can explore with you what options might exist.
Re: MisrepresentsAnyone reading this forum should immediately notice that there are numerous posts by the same person- this ks123 person. No one would overpost on every article that mentions this agency the same positive things over and over unless it was the owner herself. She is trying to outweigh all the bad, by posting all these "good" reviews. Beware-don't believe anything you hear positive about this agency, and take into account the numerous egg donors, IPs, and surrogates who have been hurt emotionally and financially by this company. Miracles Egg Donation should no longer be operating and since they are choosing to "keep their doors open" and attempt to take on new clients, I have to forwarn and encourage all those thinking about using this agency to look elsewhere. They are many great and reputable companies who have not had these horrible claims and situations arise with their clients. Look here on greateggs.com or on surromomsonline.com for agencies with rave reviews for all parties involved, not just by one or two people.
