My 02 cents

I was really impressed with Extraordinary Conceptions & Mario at first - almost immediate response to calls/emails but...every time we found a donor we liked, Mario couldn't get in touch with them. Found one donor we really, really wanted to use, asked them to get in touch with her. Waited days, were told she hadn't responded. Went on vacation, came back needing to make a final decision re: donor. Decided to ask EC to try one more time to contact \"perfect\" donor. From the email reply that was forwarded to us (minus identifying info, of course) it was obvious that they had never contacted her weeks earlier when we first asked them to.

Also felt a little uncomfortable that when I would ask about one donor, Mario seemed to \"push\" other donors - he'd send a picture and say \"hey, this is a really great gal and she's ready to cycle right now, really smart, etc.\" Seemed like they had a lot of donors on their website that weren't really available or active. And after a week or so of great response, follow-up and replies to questions just seemed lazy and sloppy.

Also wondered about contract issues - Mario's wife is attorney, does she write/review the contracts for donor and IP's? Didn't get that far due to EC's lack of responsiveness but if that's the case, seems like conflict of interest. I prefer a situation where I find my own attorney to review contracts.

We ended up with another SoCal agency and have been pleaseed and impressed with the responsiveness, selection of donors, etc.

Dear 'My 02 Cents":

My I ask you which SoCal donor agency you went to after your experience with EC?

Thanks and regards,
