I wanted to first wish you the best of luck in your search to be an ED however please be aware that first time ED's don't typically command $10,000 for a donation.

Well I should let u know, I haven't been a donor before but I know someone who has named Jenn she posts on surrogatemother.com her blog is very interesting and it helps me learn. The Dr who performs the surgery gets 10k so the donor should also. I try to state that my fee is negotiable ,however.

Hey Tiffy... CRAZY I just ran accross your post here... and I figure you're talking about me?
www.surrogatemother.com/profile/jennifer18?

Normally clinics receive on the very, very low end of $12k - $20k, average, for their infertility services. As a first time donor my compensation was $3,500. My second Donation compensation was $5,000.

The American Society of Reproductive Medicine ethics committee has issued guidelines regarding egg donation and the compensation involved. ASRM feels compensations up to $5000 are acceptable, amounts over $5000 require justification and any amount over $10,000 is inappropriate.

Normal first time donor compensation is roughly $5,000. I accepted much less so I could, in a sense, 'prove' my fertility. I shot you an invite to www.allaboutdonors.com - please join if you haven't already and I may be able to help you find a set of IP's

hugs!!!
