[color=orange]Hi to all-

I am hoping to do this without the use of an agency, unless it's your choice, I just feel some of the fees are way too high for the IP's to pay.

In my first posting I listeed that I would prefer not to use an agency(due to their high fees). However, after reading many posts with regards to misrepresentation, I have elected to contact an attorney. I chose to do this for the screening process, especially to see if I was a good canidate. I am objective towards using or not using thier services as they are quite expensive(will not post name here, but if you are making a serious inqury I can disclose this to you. I am 100% committed to going through with ED-my husband and I even decided with my job it would be difficult to work around the scheduling of the entire process-so we have decided that I will take about 3 months of leave form work(longer or shorter if necessary) to be completely devoted to this. I am willing to travel, but only for the right IP's. My compensation and expenses are negotiable, as I have stated this isn't about money for me...And I understand that by now most moms and dads to be have spent a small fortune just to get to this point.(SO if you did choose me, I'd like you to have a little money left over-so you can put that little one through college!!) thank you!!!

a few questions

Postby learningaboutID » Fri Jul 21, 2006 3:30 am

Hi, I have a daughter through egg donation, a wonderful spirit for whom we would like to have a sibling. Our original donor is not doing it again, unfortunately (she is anon, so we don't know why -- I think she has done it several times -- but she was happy for us and we are SO grateful for her!)

One thing that was a coincidence is that she and I have the same blood type -- A+ (like all my grades in school, haha!) I know they say it doesn't matter, but somehow I am feeling a bit superstitious about it. Do you by any chance have that blood type? It would not be a main reason for choosing a donor, but I would love it if it happened to be the case!

Are you in a donor cycle now?

Have you done this before? (It seems like you will be doing this for the first time, which is fine, I'm just verifying.)

Are you doing this anonymously or does it matter? Ours was anon, but I am contemplating doing it differently. Not sure yet. I think there are advantages/disadvantages to both.

We live overseas right now but will move back to the US in October. That is why I am starting to research now, since that is right around the corner! In fact, we will be househunting next week and then visiting family in Massachusetts!

Thanks alot for your time, and especially thank you for being willing to do this for couples like us!!! It is hard to put into words how grateful we are.

Best,

Thank you for considering me, I am sorry I haven't responded sooner-I was cycling with a wonderful couple. I don't have A+ blood, I am AB+...if you are still looking for a donor I am available to start. My first donation went wonderful!! It was an open donation that created a beautiful friendship! The cycle resulted in 18 embryos, 15 of which are now frozen-it was an amazing experience and can't wait to do it again with the right couple. If you are interested in getting to know each other, contact me and I will reply in a very timely manner. thank you for considering me and best wishes in your journey!!
