I've read a few things on here that I found disturbing. I've been a donor with Ed Inc. before and I have nothing but good things to say about them. It's unfortunate that some donor's are in this for the wrong reasons. The compensation is just an added bonus. You can't put a price on the real gift your giving... the chance for a couple to have a miracle. I can't even believe some donor's are so shallow as to actually complain about the amount they're getting. They're obviously in this for other reasons, and that should be frowned upon. When I initially signed up I was under the impression that it was a voluntary act that had no financial compensation whatsoever. I wanted to help. I was shocked that any compensation was offered and I thought it was so much more than enough. Even some couples were complaining about how long it took, but they need to realize that a donor that may be available at the time of viewing may have things change. Before Ed Inc. makes any promises to a couple or gives out any info. they call the donor to make sure they're still available and that they are ok with giving out all the info being requested. When they contacted me it took me a few days to get back to them because I was on vacation so if it took long how is that they're fault? You can't rush great things. Ed Inc. cares about their staff, clients, and donors all equally which makes them a great and genuine company. When everyone is happy and comfortable it makes the whole process run smoothly from all angles which makes everyone come out ahead in the end.

I appreciate your candor, donor, but I'm just wondering now, if you are so concerned with the \"gift\" of this all and think that compensation should not be such an issue, why then are you working with this agency? It's well-know that their agency fees are amongst the highest in the field, so the IPs, before even paying the compensation for the donor, are already shelling out many thousands to this agency for the privilege of signing a contract.
Why are you not doing indy donations, as many of us do here to reduce the cost for IPs? Just wondering.

Exactly. Additionally, this agency actually TAKES a portion of the donor's compensation for themselves. I think it's 5 or 10%? The donor earns the compensation for her time committment, risk, discomfort.... what right does any agency have to take a portion of that? To the best of my knowledge, they are the only one who does. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I actually signed up with several agencies. Ed, Inc. was the first to contact me with an interested couple, and they were so nice and informative that I decided to work with them. There was another agency wanting to work with me, and offered $2,000 more than Ed, Inc. but I wasn't comfortable with the staff.

\"When I initially signed up I was under the impression that it was a voluntary act that had no financial compensation whatsoever. I wanted to help. There are just too many posts about this agency that are over the top ridiculous in their attempt to glorify this agency...they just push it a little too far. Funny...most of them seem to be coming from the same brain, as that brain just doesn't get how apparent they are to readers and it just can't seem to stop itself.
