phone calls

Postby Guest » Sun Apr 09, 2006 4:05 pm

I find it really difficult to get in touch with them. Every time I call I get an answering machine. I leave multiple messages and sometimes get a call back. The few times I got a call back it was always many hours later and since I am on the east coast 8-9pm. Always missed because I was out to dinner. (Yes, we go out alot). Anyone else have this experience?

I am currently using them, and Lisa is wonderful to work with!! She is great returning my phone calls..and emails..Maybe you should address the problem with them I know they are very understanding and will probably always get back to you by the time you needed..Since you go out a lot...Just a thought..

return calls

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. The ONE time they returned a phone call I was out to dinner. I have since placed at least 6 calls and 1 email and nothing. Do I have Kooties. They have a donor that I like which is why I am perisisting but I am very nervous with their service. I am just curious. Has anyone ever called and not gotten a machine? Just does not seem professional.

Phone Calls - Lack of Response

Postby M. » Tue Apr 11, 2006 5:14 pm

Take this as a foretelling of how you may be treated as a client. Should you have to work this hard to be their client? Our cycle was very stressful with CNG because of their lack of response to us during critical times before and during our cycle. Our cycle was postponed because of their lack of response. Our clinic coordinator was livid at CNG staff because they would not respond to her either. When we finally heard from them, they had no good reason for the lack of communication.

I am so happy that some folks here have had great experiences with CNG. However, I would not use them again.

CNG

Before I became a client with CNG, I found them to be responsive however after selecting a donor I have had some issues. The travel costs seem outrageous and you really have no way to question the costs because you are told how much you owe after the flight is already booked. One flight ended up costing 3x more than a flight I found on expedia.com, non-stop, flying from donor's hometown to my location. I questioned this but received no resolution. I guess it is easy to spend somebody elses money without looking for the best price.

CNG

Any agency can have it's bad points as well as it's positive. I just signed contracts with this agency and am moving forward. They have been very helpful, and answered any questions that have come up..
I would suggest this agency to others. They have so many proven donors also. (a big plus!!)

Best of luck,
Diane

Just an update. I posted the original message. I still have not heard a peep from them. No email or returned phone messages. I think that alone speaks volumes about this agency.

I cycled with CNG as well. They were pleasant and performed the job adequately. However, the travel costs were not reasonable. Checking Expedia and Travelocity showed much, much lower rates than what we were charged. Although I'll never know for sure because receipts aren't provided, I believe that certain expenses were \"padded\" or fabricated altogether. I would suggest choosing a local donor or requiring receipts for airfare, out of town monitoring, parking etc... You might also communicate with your clinic coordinator to be sure that your donor is receiving the money you were charged for milage, parking and other similar fees.

That said, I am surprised that communication is a problem. Those of you having difficulties reaching them might try emailing rather than calling.

I too find the answering machine off putting. However, when I leave messages for Andrea ( I can't speak about anyone else) she does call back within 24 hours or so - which is fine with me. I would say that all this is a good reason to go with open donation where possible. Someone else mentioned that she was concerned about the care you would get once matched if you are having trouble now, and I say you can get away with bi-passing the agency on most matters if you have a direct relatiobship with your donor. My IPs and I did that for my last cycle and I am sure we eliminated a great ddeal of stress.

travel costs - proven donors

Postby Have a baby now!!!! » Fri May 19, 2006 5:29 am

Andreas husbansd is a pilot - perhaps she is gettin free tix (or reduced) and charging you higher rates???? You MUST DEMAND receipts for the flights!!!

Be careful to ask about how many UNSUCCESSFUL cycles a donor has had. I personally know of 3 donors that had unsuccessful cycles but that isn't mentioned!!! Also, Andrea told me she was removing a donor from her list because of lying, etc., and SHE IS STILL THERE!!!! I ALSO found a donor thatI know is also cycling with another agency, and both have her listed for a differant number of successful cycles - - - what is the truth? One never knows with CNG. If donors and owners will lie about something - - how do we know the health histories are true?????
