I would like the opptny to again, as I have done both verbally and via e-mail, sincerely apologize for Shoshana’s cycle not going thru. With all due respect to the donor and her privacy, I will simply say that the cycle did not proceed b/c certain clinical criteria were not met. This is in no way a reflection on either the donor, the clinic or the agency. This donor has a compelling cycle hx and I wish her the very best in her next match and I genuinely regret, for both the donor and the IPs, that this cycle was cancelled; it is both sad and frustrating for all parties. As a long-time professional in this field with the experience of hundreds of cycles, I know all too well that, it is, unfortunately, a matter to always be expected. A majority of cycles do proceed from match to retrieval, but for reasons beyond any particular parties’ control, sometimes cycles do not move forward…it is a sad reality.

I have a great deal of regard for greateggs.com; I think it is a wonderful forum for donor’s to connect, inform, and share but regret that the above sheds an inappropriate and inaccurate light on the practices of my agency.
