The Good and The Bad

The Good and The Bad

My first cycle through TT was just great--my coordinator was on top of things and anticipated every problem before it could become an issue.

My second cycle had really major problems. I had a new coordinator (who I believe is an exec in their company), and she was just ridiculous. Her communication skills were like something out of a movie. I could send her an e-mail with 1 issue to address, and she would either respond to something completely different, or ignore my e-mail entirely. Then there were numerous accomodation problems--rental cars being booked at locations that weren't open when I arrived, my hotel room not being covered under TT's credit card, so that when I arrived, the hotel tried to charge thousands to my personal card. To top it off, when the hotel snafu occurred, it took FIVE days for my coordinator to handle the problem or even call me, and I was onsite for my retrieval (yeah, you really want to deal with that when you're high on fertility meds). She just created problems instead of handling them.

That being said, I truly think it was an issue with that specific coordinator. Other than my interaction with her, everyone there has been very professional and helpful. I honestly cannot complain about the company as a whole, and many of the ladies there have been wonderful.

I had a great experience with my coordinator - I think the bad coordinator you mention (ex-exec) is no longer with the company from what I hear. I'm still working with them for my next donation.

I have also had a similar situation with this agency. I completed a couple cycles with them. Both times I traveled the hotel charged my credit card over a thousand dollars and I had to go through a lot of hassle to get my money back. They are not very responsible when making sure that their donors hotel accomodations are taken care of before the donor leaves on a trip. Then when you get there you are stuck sitting for hours trying to figure out what is going on. Their emergency number is worthless and it takes them several hours to get back to you. I am not at all impressed with the way that they handle things. They also never pay your medical bills on time and I have had my medical bills turned over to a collection agecny because of them.

I didn't have that experience at all - and I traveled from the West Coast and they covered all the expenses up front - I didn't have to pay a penny and didn't get a single medical bill. I thought they treated me very well and would certainly work with them again.

I worked with them for my 3 donations and all of them went extremely went - I did traveling as well and thought the travel arrangements were well done and organized.

Hi,

I was the original poster. I read the replies, and noticed that one poster indicated the TT staff member I had trouble with is no longer there.

I looked on their website and she is indeed no longer noted on their staff page.

Having worked with several different individuals at TT and having had an otherwise truly positive experience, I thought it only fair to acknowledge that again.

I'm really impressed that most of the people in these forums are trying their best to be fair and measured. That makes for a really healthy forum for communication. Thanks to all!
