to make sure no one gets the donor you like you have to \"confirm\" w/ a non-refundable 1,500 fee. AFTER that you get the full contract that spells out their terms and timeline: 14 wks to retrieval or late fees and maybe even cancellation.

Our DR. and attorney (YES pay for your own!!) raised an eyebrow when they found out which agency we found our donor through. They have come to have a that type of a reputation - greedy, pushy.

BUT all these agencies have a major agenda - $$$. That's the only reason they do it, the only reason the donors do it. If you can accept that, you won't feel too disappointed.

But wendie can be nasty and inappropriate.

I usually don't respond to these things but I felt that your assessment of this agency couldn't be farther from the truth...and I think it says more about you than the agency.

I've had several failed cycles with other agencies who asked for the ENTIRE program fee BEFORE I even found a donor. I was amazed at how tirelessly the match coordinators worked to help me at Shelley's agency - BEFORE I EVEN PAID A CENT. They were helpful and honest and even worked with me on the weekend.

Because I go to a support group for other couples going through this process - I am fully aware that they are working with tons of couples - but I always felt like I was their top priority. It amazed me how they could work so hard for me, not even knowing if I was going to go with their agency or not. I have searched SO many sites - and they do have the best donors. Plus, I always got a phone call or e-mail back immediately.

Wendie was DELIGHTFUL. I was a little gunshy after my last cycles and she spent so much time with me - easing my fears. Shelley is an incredible person and very fair.

I really don't understand other recipient moms who expect to get everything and pay nothing. This company is not all about the money (the gals I worked with had been donors themselves) - but obviously, the business needs their clients to pay so they can operate!
